Being More Organized
Being more organized should not be that hard. I just look at whatever is frustrating and not working right and figure out how make it work better. At the office where I work they have purchased the same brand of toilet paper for the 10 years I have worked there. The toilet paper fit just right on the dispenser so the toilet paper easily rolled off. Then they purchased a new brand and the roll is a little wider. Now it will not spin off the roll. You have to take it off one or 2 squares at a time. This is a really frustrating experience. This one change has really made my life much more difficult. There is nothing I can do about this situation other than complain to you. But if you have these types of daily problems you will want to correct them. Being more organized to me is easiest the more I throw things out, take things to charity and pack things away in the basement to decide later if I want to keep it. My daughter moved in with me a few days ago. She is 12 and needs to be away from her mother. I go over the situation with my ex-wife quite a bit in my book -
"How to Leave Your Wife" -
so I will not rehash that here except to say my daughter has had enough of her also. I lived alone in my apartment for 3 -1/2 years and got used to it that way. The kids came over every so often, but mostly the place was set up for me. Six months ago my son came to live with me. I had to make a bunch of changes to the place to better handle both of us. We have grown used to the place and each other. Now my daughter is here. A 12 year old girl is different than a teenage boy. So, the last few days I have been getting rid of stuff as much as I can. I have taken 2 loads to charity and have loading the garbage can. Even though I am The Organized Man I still need to get rid of stuff. But now, it is really starting to shape up and look good and work good for the 3 of us.
