What is an Organizing Coach and why would you need one? Do you need someone to help you get organized?

Do you see yourself on this list:

1) Is your time not your own?

4) Is your house, office or some other aspect of your life in need of attention?

5) Do you want to do things differently but are not sure how to begin?

6) Are your too busy with other things to get your house, garage, basement or yard organized?

7) Did you just move and want to get your place set up the right way?

8) Do you need help getting ready for a move?

9) Are you starting a business and want it to be set up right?

If any of the types of things on this list apply to you then you might need an organizing coach or some personal organizing by me.

Here is a sampling of the types of things I can do for you if you live in southeastern Wisconsin within a few hours drive for me. This would include Milwaukee and all the suburbs, Madison and all the way to Appleton.

1) Set up a home paper filing system for you.

2) Work on your home layout and make changes for the better. Kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, all rooms.

3) Clean and reorganize your garage. I'll move most of the stuff out, sweep, vacuum, put things back away in the place that makes sense. I will install store bought shelving and hooks. I will toss what needs to be tossed. I will bring the cleaning supplies and garbage bags.

4) Clean and reorganize your basement. Organizing an unfinished basement is similar to cleaning a garage.

5) Go shopping with you or for you to pick out organizing products that will really help instead of just look good.

6) Work with you one on one as your organizing coach.

7) I am a big, strong, handy guy with tools so I will be able to move your furniture around, install simple closet shelves and build store bought storage units.

8) Help you get more organized on your computer. I am not a computer whiz, so I cannot do much about computer problems. What I can do is set up email folders and other tasks like that.

9) Recommend other products and services that would really help you. Once you can see the types of things an organizing coach can point out to you, the rest of your life will be easier.

10) I can go with you to your office to study your layout, take pictures, videotape and measure and come up with a plan to make it work better. We could go in the evening or weekend if you do not want people to know.

Here is what I can do for you if you do not live within my driving range:

1) Organizing coach telephone consultation. You are one end and I am on the other and we will talk through your more minor organizing problems.

2) Organizing coach Email consultation. Similar to telephone but I can add more detail and information. You can email me pictures or video of your organizing problem and I will study those and come up with some solutions.

3) If you have serious need of an organizing coach and you have plenty of bucks, you can fly me to you, put me up in a hotel nearby for a few days and really straighten you out.

Now that you see some of the things I can do as your organizing coach, you probably have some questions like:

Question #1: How much does this cost?

Answer: This type of work is similar to how a contractor would estimate a construction or remodeling project. I will give you a written cost proposal for the work that is to be done. I would need to look at the project, discuss it with you and then determine a fair price to do the job. You are paying me for my time and expertise in this area. So there would not be any costs for materials other than what you agree on. For example, you may need to buy some shelving or storage products.

Question #2: Why don't you just charge for the time?

Answer: It takes time to do this type of work. There is thinking time away from the project involved plus that way you will not be upset if I stop working to go to lunch, take a break, go to the bathroom or are not working as fast as you thing I should. I will not be your employee, I will be your organizing coach or personal organizer.

Question 3#: Can you give me an idea of what it might cost and how long this will take?

Answer:

1) Reorganize, sweep and vaccum 2 car garage.

$150 - $500. 1/2 day to 2 days. You may need to buy some shelves or hooks. That would be an extra cost.

2) Reorganize an entire unfinished basement. $500 - $1500. If your basement needs a lot of work this can take a week.

3) Phone consultation for 1/2 hour. $20.

4) Email consultation. $6 minimum plus $6 per every 10 minutes of my time.

5) General household organizing. $150 -$500.

6) Set up a home paper filing system. $150 - $500.

Please note that it would be normal to need a few sessions to get you organized. Organizing sometimes works better with some time between sessions.

Question # 4: OK, so how do I pay if I decide on this?

Answer: PAYPAL or cash. PAYPAL is really easy to use and very secure. You do not give your credit card or debit card information to me. The payment is made to PAYPL and then they transfer the money to me.

Question # 5: Why should I hire you as my organizing coach?

Answer: Go through the rest of my website. Look at all the free content I have provided in these pages. Buy my EBook "The Organized Man" for only $7.95 and get a glimpse of my thought patterns. The information on my website and in my EBook is just scratching the surface of what I know about organizing. Let me help you in person, as your organizing coach, and together we will get you organized for a much easier life.

Question # 6: What do you get out of this besides money?

Answer: Who doesn't want to get paid for doing what they love and are really good at? I am great at organizing, it is what I do. Let me help you.

But I also want to get more ideas for my website and future books. I am looking for examples of being disorganized and how to solve those problems for adding to my website and books.

That is where you come in. You supply the problem and I work on the solution. Don't worry. I wouldn't give out any embarrassing or personal details of who you are and your disorganized problems in my books or website. I am not her e to judge you, only to help you.

Question # 7: What is your background and what have you been doing all your working life?

Answer:

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.

2 years of Masters level graduate school in Structural Engineering.

10 years of Civil Engineering in City Government.

10 years of Civil Engineering in the private sector.

Writing the www.organized-way.com website and "The Organized Man" EBook for the last year or so. My articles are also published on ezinearticles.com.

Question # 8: I see you are an engineer, why don't you keep doing that?

Answer: The engineering has been fine, I am very good at it. I have worked on all sorts of interesting and complicated projects. I have been caught up in the long, hard hours to get the work done.

But it is not my true calling, it is not my passion. I do not want to write books, articles and webpages about engineering.

I spend my free time on this, on organizing. Writing and providing the ideas to you. My passion is helping people get organized, showing them the way, being an example of how being organized is the best way to live your life and do what you want to do and need to do.

I am trying to get across my ideas on my website and in my book but I want to get out and help people personally. I want you to be organized. I want you to have an easier life after I spend some time helping you.

Question # 9: How long does this take?

Answer: That depends on what is needed. I may need to see your situation, discuss your needs, spend a little time doing some organizing and then doing some research. I would then come back later to finish the job. Everyone is a little different.
