Pack Rat Stories
A pack rat is defined as: A person who collects miscellaneous items and has trouble getting rid of them. Also can be defined as a compulsive hoarder. This web page is dedicated to compulsive hoarders and excessive collectors. There are links to videos and stories of people and their pitfalls with excessive stuff. There are also links to helpful sites. Some of the stories are slightly humorous, most are tragic. All are meant to show you the problems of having too much stuff and by just doing the opposite your life will improve. You do have to laugh a little at the shear amount of stuff some people have. But to me, these stories are just more tragic because keeping too much stuff, if not a mental illness or disorder of some kind, is at least looking at the world from a scarcity mindset rather than an abundance mindset. If you think it is impossible for you to acquire or obtain things, you will never get rid of anything. I do not want to be too hard on people. I know that these stories are extreme examples of probably somewhat unbalanced people. They need gentle guidance, some loving help, not harshness. They have a huge problem in their lives and they need help and were not able to get it or get enough of it. It is just more examples that people have extreme problems of different sorts. They need help. The stories:
