Simplify Your Life.

One of the best ways to simplify your life and have more time is to minimize the things you have to do.

There is very little in life you really have to do. You have to have enough money to live on is really the only have to I can think of.

So many people spend so much of their lives on have to's:

1) Go to Church every week.

2) Working overtime.

3) Getting married.

4) Having kids.

5) Going to all your kid's activities.

6) Volunteering.

7) Adult activities.

8) Going to every family gathering.

9) Watching every second of every sporting event.

10) Watching all of your favorite TV shows.

11) Staying Married even if it is no good.

All these things can be good if you want to do them. If you don't want to do them then they will take all your time and your life will be gone and you will have spent it doing things you didn't want to do.

If you are serious about making more time then one of the best ways is cut out some or all the things you think you have to do.

Another way to simplify your life is to consider getting rid of is the idea of sacrificing for others.

You should do things for your own sense of pride and for yourself. Doing anything just for others is lame and wrong if you are sacrificing.

I don't take care of my kids because I feel like I should sacrifice for them. I take care of them because I want to.

I didn't play high school football for my teammates or coaches. I played because I wanted to and I had a lot of pride to try to do well.

I don't work overtime as a sacrifice to the company. I do that to get the work done because I have pride in getting it done and for the money.

I would like to strike the word sacrifice from your vocabulary. It's a bad word. When people tell you that you need to sacrifice, run away from them. They are just using guilt to get you to do something for them.

Your life will be so much better if you never sacrifice anything.

Occasionally, there will be times when you are inconvenienced, but that is hardly a sacrifice if the things you are inconvenienced by end up being something that you want.

For example:

1. Doing things for your spouse.

2. Doing things for your kids.

3. Doing things for your family.

4. Doing things for your friends.

You will find that you have really begun to simplify your life once you stop thinking you need to sacrifice and stop doing things you feel like you have to do.
