Why Get Organized Now?
There is Never a Bad Time

Why get organized? Isn't is too much trouble and it sounds like a lot of work.

My ex-wife just called and said she was going through her papers and was trying to throw some out.

Why now? I tried to get her to throw papers out all the years of our marriage. She resisted constantly. I encouraged her. I argued with her. I begged her. I reasoned with her. I bought her books on getting organized and de-cluttering. I showed her how being organized helps everyone.

She resisted. She would not throw anything out. She even became enraged if I ever threw anything of hers out. I learned not to do that.

Now she is throwing things out.

She asked me to help her throw out a bunch of wood last week. This was the same wood I said should have been thrown out years ago.

A few years ago she asked me to take down the fence in our back yard. I did help her. This was the same fence I wanted to take down as soon as we moved into the house. After I left, now she wants to take it down.

What I am getting at is all the things I wanted to do and thought would be better, more organized she insisted that we not do. Now that we are no longer together, she is doing the things that I thought should be done.

Why now? Because all these things just made sense. In her idea to be in control all the time she refused to listen to all my good ideas.

Well at least she is doing it now. Why now? Because it is never too late to make a change for the better.
