Yard Sale Versus Stuff

People think that a yard sale will help them to get rid of their stuff and clutter. I don't think so.

I saw my apartment manager one Sunday morning in the parking lot. She had an enormous amount of stuff on the ground next to the trunk of her car.

I asked if she was re-organizing. She said, no, she had brought all the stuff to her mother's rummage sale and it did not sell so she was bringing it back and might take it to Goodwill.

Stuff. She did not want it so she took it to a garage sale. It did not sell, so she took it back and may give it away.

Even giving away stuff is difficult.

If she was really serious about getting rid of it she could have just drove to Goodwill immediately and gotten rid of it.

Better yet, would have been to throw it at her mother's house. Why put it back in your car?

She could have thrown it away in the apartments enormous dumpster that was 10 feet from her car.

At least leave it in the car to take to Goodwill at your earliest convenience.

She should read my article on clutter.
